Greetings and salutations from Idaho and Colorado!

Hello everyone, and greetings from the American West!

I live in Idaho and attend college in Boulder, Colorado, so I get my fair share of wonderful landscapes to photograph

I've been obsessed with vintage cameras and film for a long time so it's a wonder I didn't join here earlier. I'm also on the VOGONS and PCKF forums, dedicated to vintage computers and video games (I'm kind of an old technology guy all around, I have a collection full of cameras, radios, computers, typewriters... you name it.)

I haven't updated that site in quite some time, but I plan to work on it some time next week, hopefully. It contains only a small fraction of my collection

I also have a question: Where is a good place to post a thread about the plausibility of a project to create new film/cameras/etc.? I looked around and couldn't find anywhere obvious.

Hello and welcome to apug. You have come to the right place with regards to film, however, where to post a new project about film/cameras etc is a bit difficult. If you are building a camera of your own there is a thread about home built cameras (if you want to start production it may not the right place) there are also forums for film and chemistry depending on what you plan to discuss. Good luck with your projects.

And then, after you have become a tremendous success, you can become an advertiser, and post in the advertiser's forum.
