New to the group. Looking forward to exploring the many themes and post.
New flash unit day for me. And a tiny little fella at that, about the size of three stacked 9volt batteries.
Well built. Wonderfully appointed. And the little diffuser and adjustable hot shoe bracket allow it to be positioned in a multiplicity of ways.
Guide number is 15m at 100. With the 400 Fuji Color it doubles. The film can be overexposed a stop or more if need be to push the flash reach a bit more.
Some very few words about me, love the art and craft of photography. Old school at heart, but learning digital as I go along.
I’m a big fan of vintage glass like
Nippon Kogaku non AI lenses on modern DSLRs.
Huge fan of this tiny camera (Nikonos IV-A) too! Lots of fun to shoot. One mechanical shutter speed, flash sync, the rest are aperture priority set by the camera. To compensate exposure, adjust the ASA dial.
And to focus, practice hyporfocal distance!
Best part, the huge, bright view screen. It’s made for underwater photography, so it’s quite visible above water, and without a diving mask.
Anyhow, glad to be here.
If anyone is looking for a small, inexpensive flash for tiny cameras, this or others like these are pretty nifty.
Kind regards, everyone!
