I have just developed my first 5X4 sheets of Fomapan 400 and my newly mixed D76 stock solution has turned bright green!

I'm assuming I can use the developer for a few more sheets as I had intended, but I was wondering if this usually happens with this film and whether I should pre-soak in future?

I don't think it'll hurt your developer and yep, that's normal (it's the acutance dye).

A pre-soak would help for sure.
