I know this has been talked about in another thread, but I wasn't aware that Dave had written the article in question. So, I just wanted to pass along my thanks for a well written article.

Robert--

For those like me who missed the thread, could you elaborate or point us to it? I would be interested in heanring what he had to say.

Thanks,

Sunny

Sorry Sunny,

Dave wrote an article for the March 2006 issue of B&W Photography (UK), which features him and other APUG members taking a workshop with Les McLean, another APUG member and master printer, on B&W printing.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

I'm in Hawaii, so I usually get the magazine much later than everyone else.

Thanks Robert! I missed the thread the first time around. It is awesome that APUG is so well represented in the "trades".

Congratulations to all involved.

Thanks very much, but I should point out that everyone wrote something for the article, it was very much a group effort that followed an enjoyable few days - even if Les did work us far too hard.

Hah! Southern softie! Too much cheesecake, not enough perspiration - that's your trouble, Miller!

:D

(Of course, having said that, I'm looking at raiding my piggy bank at some point in the next year or so for a workshop with Les. I may be changing my tune somewhat afterwards...!)

Nice piece of writing, Dave. I did very much enjoy reading it.

Frank, the only thing that's keeping me going at the moment is the thought of all that cheesecake (and cream; don't forget the ceam) that you are going to buy me at the APUG Yorkshire meeting in a couple of weeks time. I'm currently dieting to ensure sufficient room is available. One double-chin gone; only three more to go.
