Wondering if they make daguerreotype backs for my Hasselblad :smile:
On a second thought, I don't know if I like the idea of playing with mercury fumes!
 
The sitter is not only sitting but even got a head rest. That likely gives a rather strange portrait.

When I saw such at my appointment I refused. Instead I had my daguerreotype portrait done without all that shebang, looking like streetphotography. The portraitist never did such before...

I'm not that oldfashioned as most here believe.
 
Its been said before, but the mercury part is optional. There is another technique that avoid it at some expense to the speed and tonal range of the image. Thanks for the video. It was a rather nice one.
