Gray Matter - Risking Excommunication

Guess I'm new enough and perhaps foolish enough to suggest a "gray" topic for a workshop. This is assuming there is room for and interest in another workshop. I would like to see a workshop about getting from a B&W negative to a B&W (or quadtone or whatever they are called) print on a computer printer. Be gentle in your response. Not all of us have access to a darkroom and some (including me) don't mind marrying old and new technology. That I think is what you refer to as a "gray" area. It is what I would call a good idea for a workshop. Bill Barber

I will be gentle and say that apug is not the place to bring this up. There are many many other websites dedicated to doing that if not tallking you into pure D stuff.

The "gray" area is more about digital negs for traditional prints. I think there are plenty of other workshops out there for quadtone and other forms of high-end inkjet printing.

Bill, it is doubtful that you could get enough APUG members to to pay to attend such a workshop - which means it probably won't happen.

Robert is correct. It might even keep people from coming. There are travelling digital shows, books and workshops already out there in spades.

What you don't find anymore are conferences completely about analog -- until now.
