Gralab 525 died

I have a Gralab 525 digital timer that I like but it's always been flakey with the slidey switches on the front panel. For the past 2 years I've been squeaking by by never touching them, but since I moved, it got bumped and now it doesn't work. Is this a know problem with these, and/or an easy fix? I'm weighing the relative effort in trying to take it apart vs. how much used timers cost.

If it will do the job for you, I really like my gralab 451. The buttons are covered so they won't get corroded or deteriorate.

otherwise replacing them is going to be some effort, not difficult, but if you have to ask, it's probably not your kinda of enjoyable effort.

Have you tried using contact cleaner on the switches?
