My apologies if this has been covered before, I did try a search and didn't find anything relevant.

The hands on the timer aren't aligned at 0. When the time stops, the second hand is at 0 and the minute hand is at 55 or so.

Is there an easy way to align the minute hand? The equipment was handed down to me, and I'm pretty new to it. If it's not easily aligned it's not a big deal, but if it's possible I'd sure like to get it to line up at 0 again.

Any help is appreciated!

There will be a small set-screw on the mechanism that attaches the hands to the rotating core. It may require a small Allen wrench to loosen or tighten it.

Just loosen the attachment, adjust and re-tighten.

Perfect, thank you. I'll give that a shot tonight.

The knob on the front, in the center where the hands are, has a small hole on the bottom giving access to a flathead screw. Is that the adjustment point? Or do I have to open it up?

That should be the adjustment screw.

You got your money's worth from APUG already!

Even when properly aligned, the Gralab timers usually have a fair amount of play in the minute hand. I generally push mine back so the minute and second hand are both aligned vertical before setting them. I use the Gralab for alternative process printing, so the minute hand gets a lot of use.
