Has anyone successfully transplanted a Graflok back on a Burke & James Press? I'm told it does not work but I'm curious about the possibility. Thanks!

Yes. Talk to Brad Bireley (subscriber here). I traded him 2 B&J Press bodies with a lens and some film for a fly fishing setup. One of the bodies had a graflok back to use with the Polaroid 405 holder and film. He may or may not be able to provide photos of it to answer your questions.
FWIW, I did not do the modification. I bought it that way.
