Graflex...will 4X5 lens work with a 23

...Won a Pacemaker Crown 23 on eBay and discovered it had a ruined #1 shutter (Graflex 101 lens)...can't locate another shutter, but it seems I can find other lens/shutter combinations fairly easily, with many more 4X5 lenses available than 2X3's. I understand that a 23 won't cover a 4X5 format, but would a 4X5 lens work in a 2X3 format if the lensboard hole were sized properly (I want to stick with this Pacemaker)?...

Yes, it will work... and probably quite well.

Consider also the horseman topcor 2x3 lenses, which are quite good.

Keith is right... Topcors are excellent lenses and are very underrated so they can be had for a song.

Make sure the focal length of the 4x5 lens doesn't exceed the bellows length of the 2x3. The Kodak Ektar 127mm would be a good candidate.
