Hello,
I did some paper negatives shooting with my Graflex RB34 and Oriental RC paper rated at ISO 3. I learned that under an incandescent studio light (500W) the negatives produced nice mid tone negatives. If some blue daylight was introduced, the negs would be more contrasty or overexposed. In the second scenario I used #0 contrast filter to cut down the blue light. All negatives were developed in Dektol 1:4 at temps between 65 - 75F for about a minute. Here's one shot from that day.
Wonderful results. At ISO 3 what exposure times at what apertures were you using? I have some Oriental RC paper but it is fixed grade 2 and I've found this fixed grade paper to be very sensitive to safelight fog. I have to use a very dim safelight, an 11w red bulb at 5 feet and limit time to no more than 3 or 4 min. total handling time in the darkroom.
