I got my Satin Snow Ground Glass today. I was happy to find it intact and that it dropped into the back as perfectly as the Toyo OEM glass that I was replacing.
As luck would have it, when the mail arrived, I was already working on a still life so I was able to swop out the glass and make a direct comparison with the same set-up, subject and lighting between the Satin Snow and Toyo glasses. It was a real pain of a straight down shot which made it hard to get at the best position for viewing the glass.
By Eye, he image on the SS was bright, even and easy to compose, but the real difference was when louping the glass. You get to focus on the fine detail of the image without the interference of the grain of the glass.
Good work Dave. This is a product that tangibly improves the photo taking experience every single time that you look at the back of your camera. I can't wait to try it outdoors in bright light. It should be a dream. This thing ain't coming off my camera unless it breaks.
