I got my first Petzval lens. I got it mounted on my 5x7 camera. This is my first lens with rack and pinion focus. So how do I use it while I use by bellows to focus. I love the creamy look of the bokeh of the lens.

Just think of the rack and pinion as a way to extent your focus. I tend to leave it in one place and focus the camera the way I always do, since the mount I use for many of the lenses has the Packard shutter too close to the lens to make much use of the rack and pinion anyway.

Hey thanks!

I guess I'll leave it focused on infinity until I have to focus close then I'll extend the lens.

Best,
