Got me a Hassy kit!

I finally pulled the trigger...

I had been using ( trying to ) a Fuji GSW 690-III for use with my Techpan and APX 25 stock but I am kind of over the weak frame lines and one lens deal, so I am going to sell it.

I replaced it with:

CHR. 500CM, W/L finder
2x CHR. A-12
1x CHR. A-24
NC-2
50mm 4.0 FLE
100mm 3.5
and shades for both lenses, all EX+.

I think even though I am losing about 50% of my neg. size going from 6x9 to 6x6, I am going to come out ahead in the long run as I have always had much better luck framing a hassy.

I am *stoked* at the glass, that ought to be awesome with APX 25 & TP!!

Some cool stuff there! A different beast for sure, compared to the Fuji. The ability to handhold the H is a bit limited, but once you get past that, they're great. But if you use Techpan and APX25, you'll probably need a tripod anyways.

PKM-25 there is nothing wrong with Fuji but you going to love Hassy especially 100 mm 3.5. I know I love mine. Have fun.

Likewise! Congratulations & welcome to the club! I love my Hassy! If you do not have a strap for it, get one. It's a great investment and I was really uneasy about using mine without the strap... not that I'm clumsy or anything...
I do have to say that one of the best 'add-ons' (besides the neckstrap) I got for mine was a 90deg viewfinder.

This is a dream kit in beautiful condition for a lot less than what I would have thought to pay just a few years ago. The screen made an enormous difference.

If I see a mint 180 4.0 CF for well under a grand..I could be tempted.....Oh the humanity!!!!

Any ideas in how to factor in exposure compensation for the tubes?

I use a PME view finder so it is done automatically.

PKM-25, You're gonna LOVE that 100/3.5. It is, by far, my favorite H lens and probably my most used. I never used TechPan too much with my Hassey, but burned quite a bit of Delta 100. The image carving of the 100/3.5 on that film is enough to cut ya!!!

Already there man, already there. I shot winter landscapes from a helicopter using it on the 500 C/M and a gryo the other morning, It was awesome. That 50 FLE is not too shabby either...I am looking forward to the 180/4 though, those lenses ought to hold me for awhile.

Hasselblad also produced a Close-up Calculator, which works a bit like a slide rule. It is accurate enough and doesn't require any arithmetic to use. They used to be available on ebay for a few bucks, probably still are.

Actually, it is a year and three months, but yes, the toolkit has grown considerably..

I am taking on two book projects and at least 4 long term fine art projects with it, the need is there. And man is this stuff *cheap* now!

What do you have against the 250mm and the 350mm lenses? What did they ever do to you?

And you do not even have a 1.4X and 2X extenders?

No 8 mm and 32 mm ext. tubes?

When will you get a truss so that you can lift all the equipment?

Please advise, interested readers want to know!

Don't leave out the 40 mm and 120 mm lenses.
The 150 mm is deservedly very popular too, so worth a try.
And the 250 mm is indeed a must-have.
