I took advantage of KEH's 50% off accessories sale to purchase a Gossen Starlight (original version).
Having read the manual a couple of times, I've been playing around with the zone measurement functionality. One apparent weakness is that it appears only to allow you to place the first measurement, while with all subsequent measurements you can only see where they fall but cannot adjust zone placement. It seems to me that it would be preferable to allow the zone placement of measurements to be adjusted after multiple measurements have been made (of course they would all adjust together, not independently). For example, if there are multiple shadow areas I might read one and initially place it in Zone III only to find that a subsequent shadow area is darker and falls into Zone II. I might then decide that the original shadow should in fact be placed in Zone IV, in order to allow the darker shadow to fall in Zone III. With the Starlight there appears to be no way to do this, apart from re-measuring the entire scene.
This is not a major problem, just a minor concern.
I'm posting this to firstly ask other Starlight users whether this is correct, or whether I have missed some way to adjust zone placements after the fact?
Thanks
Andrew
