Good results from FP4 125 @ 800

I tried to push fp4 125 to 800 and found good results.
I used ilford LC29 at 1+19 for approx 27 minutes (at around 21.5 deg C).

BTW Is LC29 1+19 close to HC110 1+31?

Yes, LC29 is just a different strength concentrate of Ilfotec HC which is pretty much the same as HC-110.

Those results look good, I guess the only question is, did you get the grain, contrast and dynamic range you wanted compared to shooting HP5+ at 800 instead?

Thanks, im not 100% sure what strength the hc is.

I think shooting the hp5 would be a better option, but I only had fp4 125 at the time

Checking Ilford's film dev charts, LC 1+19 is the same as HC 1+31 (dilution B). LC 1+9 is like HC 1+15 (dilution A). So LC is just a different concentration of HC as I said.

If FP4+ was all you had and you needed the aperture and/or shutter speed of EI 800 then I'd say you did very well!
