Good morning from Outback South Australia.

You know, with a bit more interest, we could do actually this very well. We could hire a small bus in Adelaide and tour up to the Alice over the next week or so, or organise a 4WD "tag-along" tour over a more adventurous route. We could take in the Flinders Ranges, Coober Pedy, some of the Simpson Desert, The Painted Valley, the MacDonald Ranges etc etc. We could even conceivably charge the general public to tag along and learn real photography too!

Should I start a new thread to see how much interest we can get for the idea?

Cheers,
Graeme

You might consider Watarrka NP (King's Canyon), it is a bit out of the way, but has some fantastic hiking, and a wonderful little oasis in the canyon itself. Perfect place to camp, unless you want to spend $330+ for a standard motel room.
