I was in NYC for a day and decided to stop in at Lens and Repro Co. on 17th St. Not used to a Manhattan sense of space, the tiny locked vestibule after a tiny elevator (do I need to say that I'm not a tiny guy?) freaked me a bit, but the folks inside were great. I had been looking for an inexpensive coated lens for 8x10 and they had a 15" Paragon APO lens in barrel that was new, old stock from the 70's for short money. I haven't used the thing yet, but I wanted to say that the experience of buying it was really very pleasant and that I'd go back in a minute.

Just a plug for a shop where they treated an old bottom-feeder with respect and some good advice.

Anything I should know about the lens?

Prices can be on the high side at Lens and Repro, just because they're covering Manhattan rent, but I've always had good experiences there. They're always willing to talk and share information, even if it only results in a modest sale.
