Goldfield or Gold Point

I have one day in December to either visit Gold Point or Goldfield, Nevada.
Does anyone have a recommendation for which location has better photo opps?
Also, how good is the road to Gold Point? I will have a 4 wheel drive SUV.

I've driven in an ordinary rental car to Gold Point, but that was in the summer. In the winter, if there's snow, you might need the 4WD.

It's a curious place. I think if I were to photograph there, I'd want to be able to spend some time and get to know people. I think they have a chili cook-off once a year.

Goldfield. It's real. Goldpoint is sort of owned by a single person and decorated to taste.
