Going to be in New Orleans for Christmas

Anybody interested in getting together for a morning shoot? We will be there from Sat. to Friday. My wife lets me out in the morning to take pictures.

Are there suggestions, I'm staying in the Garden Quarter I like to photograph architecture and street scenes. How safe is it to have a camera on a tripod in the Garden and French Quarters in the morning before 10:00am? I've heard the cemeteries are worth looking at. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
