Going rate for a Nikon 9000 ED?

What's the going rate for a Nikon 9000 ED? I see on the big auction site they go for about $4000 without the glass holder. Am I going to have to just suck it up or is the market inflated there?

Good morning, Sean;

The Nikon CoolScan 9000ED (a device emminently suitable for scanning film negatives and use in Hybrid processing, for which we do have a forum right here on APUG) last year at this time was $1800 USD through B & H. Then during the late summer they announced a price increase to $2300 USD. Then I think that they decided to discontinue production, but I need to confirm that. Anyway, yes, the prices on eek-Bait are insane.
