going rate for a large format lens CLA

hello everyone, i have a large format lens that has shutter speed that are incorrect, i thought id get a quote for a CLA, i recieved a quote from one place for £249 + vat, is that the going rate for a CLA on a large format lens,it seems a little steep, or maybe im wrong and thats a fair price, if anyone can enlighten me that would be great, thanks

Seems steep price to me too. In US... $100 - 150.

yeah...way steep! There's a shop in Oakland that charges as little as $75 to CLA a Graflex Graphex shutter for me (but, I'm not sure they're still there. it's been a coupl of years since I've been there). Copal shutters are more toward $100~$150.

To be clear though, we're talking about having CLA on the shutter, not the lens - right?

That sounds pretty steep to me. Carol Flutot here in the US did a complete CLA of my Ilex shutter for about $160 US dollars which included a chart of the actual shutter speeds following the CLA.
