"On January 1st, Leigh and Dana Sullivan woke up to discover their 16 year old struggling for life. An ambulance was called and eventually Rowan was admitted to the ICU in Albuquerque. He was suffering from a misdiagnosis and had diabetic ketoacidosis. Since he was admitted on January 1, he has also had treatment for clots in his heart, problems with his kidneys, and a variety of other issues stemming from the correct diagnosis of Type I Diabetes.
"Rowan is a trooper! He has rallied and begun his road to recovery. Working hard to get physical, occupational, and speech therapy (for the # of times the intubated him), he is finally able to try solid foods.
"It is a long journey ahead and we want to help Leigh and Dana as they help their son get back to living his life -- healthy and safe."
