Gnome enlarger interchangeable parts?

Does anyone know if parts from Gnome enlargers are interchangeable? I have a Beta II with the 4 1/2" condensers for 6x9 negs but I've seen an Alpha II which is just a box of bits, but the negative carriers on the Alpha 2 were a lot better than those on the Beta with movable masking bars and I was wondering if I can swap parts around?
