G'day guys thought I would start a thread here in the Oz forums like I have placed in the UK forum.

I have an old Gnome Enlarger made in the UK. It's in fairly good nick seeing it spent the last 50 years in a Kensington Victoria high school.

Looking for another unit like mine for parts.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

This post on Ebay is exactly like mine.

If anyone has or sees anything on Gnome enlargers give me a holler please.

PS one of the kind UK forum guys is sending me a set of 120 format condensers & defuser.

Just got a set of condensers & defuser from an APUG member in the UK who had spare. Now the old Gnome does medium format again.

Who would of thought someone had a spare for a Gnome? Of course, where I am at, I never ever heard of a Gnome before. Congrats.

Update I found a box of new Gnome Alpha enlarger bits. After having a couple of power Ebay shoppers also keen on my find. I won out & the guy was able to get me some cheap shipping. So now I have fully functioning unit with all the extra bits. Should see my needs very well yea

good effort! I have a gnome that belonged to my grandfather. Have just retired it but was using it for 6x9 and 35mm work. It never quite did 6x9 well so maybe I only have the 6x6 condenser (never thought of that!). It certainly had a primitive beauty. Its a family heirloom so i cant part with it but salute you for persisting with yours. I eventually bought a Durst 609, also ancient but slightly more sophisticated for big enlargements. Gnome seems to be fairly respected by those older chaps I have spoken to and is certainly one of the cheaper large medium format brands around. They originate from Cardiff in Wales, so the UK forum is definitely the place to go for parts I would think.
Thanks for sharing.
