Glass Key Photo, San Francisco, photigra

Good article. Gordon and Matt are great guys and have a very nice store.

Matt Osborne used to post here regularly - now what was his user name?

I buy all of my film and chemistry from these guys. I try not to buy cameras from them because I already have too many, but often I fail.

State, county and city should wave all sales taxes to help these guys compete with BH etc. I'm guilty of buying film from BH instead of locally. I still spend a lot at my local store though

Was just there today, definitely a happening place. We are spoiled being able to walk in off the street and buy things like Rodinal and Pyrocat HD. Also a nice selection of paper and very close to Harvey Milk Photo Center, another San Francisco gem. I've been buying most of my paper and chemistry from Glass Key.

Yes, definitely a hazard, as is Seawood Photo up in San Rafael, heading up there tomorrow, seems they have a 5x7 Norma in stock.

Hmm... A 5x7 Norma sounds like a dream camera, except clean film holders that size are getting hard to find, and film always has been. I've turned down some nice 5x7's, and had to be content with my 4x5 Norma out on Pt.Reyes last Sat. My various packs will fit an 8x10 folder, but only a 4x5 assembled monorail. Sorry to hear Gassed is gone, but they really did work hard to go out of business.

The 5x7 Norma was an early one and a little rough so I passed on it. I'm sure a nice one will turn up. The 4x5 Norma I picked up from Glass Key is really clean so that kind of set the standard. Been shooting my 68 Fuji rangefinder, another little dream camera, but will have to take the Norma out soon.
