Just picked up a 4X5 Tachihara in excellent condition with Computer Symmetrigon f6.3 210 mm along with nice size Ross changing bag, a wood hood and 11 film holders. Any thoughts on the lens?

Nice. Welcome back to LF. Regarding a lens... no information available from me but you should experiment to your hearts content. Enjoy!

I will, but my last go round was not very successful. I sold everything I had so now I have to start over, but this time I am going to try contact prints instead of the enlarger and darkroom.

You won't find a finer general-use lens -- you look to even have the original metal sunshade! As long as you like the focal length, you're set!

The ComputAr is a sleeper lens, use it and you'll like it.

And it will be great when you move up to 5x7 (but won't cover 8x10)!

The camera is great -- not a tough beast, but handled normally it will last a lifetime. The one we had did not survive student use, which is a whole different beast of a different color.
