I have a new hood for my GF670 folder. I've put a yellow filter into it as tight as I can wind it in. There's a light rattle to the set up if I shake it a bit. It seems that the filter and threads that it attaches too are not firmly mounted onto the hood. Normal? There's very little movement, just enough to make a rattle if it is shaken. I would have expected this to be silent so want to confirm that my hood is in OK shape.
I can check mine when I get home from the office. (Had to go in today.)
Rather than use the Fuji-specific square-ish hood I use the inexpensive Kalt 58mm round metal hood and 58mm filters. I own the Fuji hood along with a 40.5mm #8 yellow filter. I just don't use them.
I guess what I'm seeing then is the filter, connected to the filter ring, rattling slightly inside the hood. It's very minor, but at nearly $100 for this hood, I wanted to make sure it was not broken.

Damn! Such a drag. I bought it in the USA and had it muled over to China. Such a hassle to send it back. There are a bunch of screws on the reverse side of this filter. Might these be adjustable?
Just to clarify...i'm hearing rattling when the hood is OFF the camera. I've not been home yet so have not heard the hood when on my GF670. Not that I'd shake my GF670 very hard though.....
It's a problem only in that when I spend $80 for something I expect it to be fully working. From day 1 my hood is clearly not fully stable. Will it stay this way or will it degrade even further over time?
