My source for this developer says:

Metol 5 grams
Sodium sulphite anhydrous 50 grams
Borax 5 grams
Sodium sulphate anhydrous 50 grams
Potassium thiocyanate 1 gram
Potassium bromide 1 gram
Phenol 5 drops
Water to make 1 liter

Does somebody has another source for this developer where Phenol is expressed in ml or cc? Thank you in advance

5 drops = 0,25 ml

The conversion can be found on many places. One of them:

The small amounts were always maesured in drops for practical reasons. The accuracy is not really high, but sufficient for these applications.

Just a guess but I think the phenol is there only to stop growth of bacteria or fungi, and has no function in the actual development
