I'm using Quadtone Rip with my Epson R2400 printer. I'm trying a new film, Print Jet Premium, and it is having trouble going through the printer, mostly coming up with a paper jam error. Its not jamming, but it's not being accepted by the printer either.

One solution I tried was drawing a line around the edge of the film with a Sharpie. It seemed to work one time, but that's all.

Any suggestions for this issue?

How are you feeding the media? The only way I can get either paper or transparency film through my R2400 is via the manual feed on the back of the printer. I cannot get anything to feed through the top automatic feeder. While this is probably a personal issue, I am happy to get the paper into the printer any way I can.

I am assuming that you have the correct type of media selected on the QTR gui. Most of my lack of feeding problems came about because I had the incorrect media selected. Which is the correct setting? The one that works more than one time. It's a by guess and by gosh method.

got it to work

Keith, when you say leading edge, do you mean the edge that goes into the printer first? I didn't try masking tape but I did make a line along that edge and left and right edges with a sharpie, which didn't help.

Joe, I finally got it to work using the auto sheet feeder. Odd, because with other films the manual (roll) feed at the back worked better.

So it goes, at least its now working for me.

David.
