...leaving it sitting on a tripod where you can see it every day. Every once in a while, put a leash on it and take it for a walk.

Why take it out?

Rather than putting it on a leash and taking it for a walk, why not invite someone over to see your camera, lights, backdrop and have them wear some good clothes, (or if it is a young babe, her latest bikini) and you can take some pictures. If it is a young babe, you might also tell her to leave that stupid top to her bikini at home and you will take some pictures. If she is okay with that, tell her to leave that stupid bottom home too and you will take some pictures. If she agrees with that, tell her you have a whole fridge full of film and you want to use it up, so she should plan on being over to your house for awhile. Now that sure beats lugging a Mamiya RB down the street on these hot summer days. Right?

I've got one TLR sitting on the kitchen counter ready to go at all times. Got the second one in my car in a pelican case all ready to go as well. I average almost a roll a week with MF. I wore one during my various errands downtown today. It started a nice conversation with one of the tellers at the bank, and she wasn't even waiting on me.

While at work I think of 'assignments' that I would like to shoot. I keep a list of them. Either one on the list pops up that I get motavated to do or I come up with something. Then come the weekend I am prepared and ready to go shoot the assignment.

Topics:
Local architecture shots
Close up of flowers
Interesting features at state or national parks
Seasonal assignments: Fall colors and waterfalls, snow at ... ,
A list of places that I want clouds in the sky when I photograph
A list of places that I want fog when I photograph
A list of places that I want to photograph at or just after sunrise
A list of places that I want to photograph at or just before sunset
Historic locations
A list of places that I want to photograph models
Trees
At the water's edge
Reflections
Bridges
Trains
Landscapes
Urban architecture
Churches
Ruins or decaying buildings
