You may want to mention which size this is - I have two: 1 for 2"x2" mounts (35mm/126/828?/127 Super), and one for 7cmx7cm mounts (6x4.5cm/6x6cm).
And neither of mine have the light - that must be handy.
These work great for the GEPE mounts, and they are helpful with other mounts as well.

Hi George: it will speed up the mounting process and save your fingers from squeezing the two halves of the mount together.

They are like an additional pair of hands for holding the mount while you position the transparency! And they make sure you press straight down when you clip the parts together - resulting in a satisfying click!
They are also an interesting, if somewhat large decorative accent for your display space .
