I'm wondering if someone could recommend a generic L-Bracket for a medium format camera?
I've been looking for a decent, lighter tripod head to cut down on weight. (A result of a recent epiphany.) I found a 3D, quick release Oden head that I like at B&H. (See image.) But characteristic of these smaller, lighter heads, there's not much surface area on the quick release plate to hold the camera in vertical orientation. So, I need an L-Bracket to switch from vertical to horizontal on my 35mm digital and a Mamiya press cameras, and Oden doesn't offer one with the appropriate, built-in quick release plates.
What I'm thinking of, is a generic bracket with longish slots on both the vertical and horizontal arms that would enable me to attach the plate through the slot of the bracket into the camera on the horizontal arm, and to attach an extra plate using a small bolt and nut on the vertical arm. I'd like to have about 6 inches, or so, length on the horizontal arm.
Suggestions would be appreciated.
