Hi there,
i am searching for a method to produce a contact print on gelatine. It should be a cyanotype print which is normally a print on paper.
I read about that sometimes it`s more effective to coat the paper with 3% gelatine to prevent absorbency.
Now I have an idea. Why not a contact print on pure gelatine sheets?
But where I can get this sheets?
Does someone know a company that manufacture clean sheets at a size about 20 x 20 cm (or 7,5 x 7,5" )?
When gelatin gets wet it goes very floppy, just like a bowl of jelly (Jello). You would need a supporting substrate (a sheet of paper perhaps) to make it easier to handle.
You could try pouring your own, it isn't too difficult.
