Don't have an answer, but glad you ask the question...how did you mix your gelatin for use? In other words, how much knox/alum to how much water? As always a reference as good as an answer.

Gelatin sizing, without a preservative like an aldehyde will last you about 3 weeks to a month if you refrigerate it. Do not freeze it, it will screw the pooch....

Mike, depends on what you are going to do, sizing for Carbon printing is different than sizing for kallitype or pt/pd. The book edited by John Barnier "comming into focus" is a good reference as it has the sizing requirements for each process..

Thanks Jorge - the recipe is in the aforementioned book but I couldn't find info on how long it would last once mixed.
And Mike, for Kallitypes it's one envelope Knox gelatin allowed to 'bloom' in 1000cc (500cc for really absorbent paper) of water for 30 minutes; add 1g of alum and bring to a boil slowly - then boil it for 3 or 4 minutes.
The Christopher James alt. process book says 500cc but also mentions that more water can be added if necessary.
