Tetenal used to make a film cleaning aerosol that I think is still available. Also if you can find a Graphic Arts supplier they might stock a product called "Film Clean", I'm not sure what label that would be sold under where you are. Alternatively try and buy some Isopropyl Alcohol. Here in the UK you can buy this from a Pharmacy, or what you might call a drugstore! I've worked as a scanner operator in the pre press industry and have used all these items with no harm done to any film. There is also no need to re-wash. One other suggestion, there is a specific drum cleaning liquid that removes the gel and oil from the drum, it's not the same as film clean, try asking the Graphic Arts supplier, if you can find one that is. Good luck.
