In one way or another every single one of Gandolfi's photographs takes my breath away! I suspect I'm not the only member of his fan club.

Alright then, what's the Gandolfi story? How does he get to be so damn talented, why do his images soar while others in the same genre are earth bound? (I hate flower portraits, his knocked me out!)

If he is too modest to answer this thread himself, please anyone chime in! (and Gandolfi, will you be at the APUG conference? I for one would go just to meet you; worship at your feet! )

(yeah yeah over the top praise, but, I'm that impressed!) Bob

I would like to be the second member of GFC (Gandolfi fan club)
Please send me the starters package including the pin, calender and the livesize poster. :D
Other than that I must refer to your own post.

Oh yes, Gandolfi rocks

YES! Gotta LOVE that camera!!

seriously guys, while tremendously flattered, you're giving me too much credit.
Afterall none of you (except morten) has seen any of my originals..

they are all lying around here... in a mess..

I just, by coincidense, browsed the gallery in here yesterday, and found lots and lots of images that I'd never be able to do..

I babble around. I play around.

when reading about different stuff from members in here I feel SO ignorant, and I wished I was younger, and had more time to learn.

My main reason for wanting to winn the big lottery is, to quit my job, and travel around to visit you guys and just learn!

I consider my self an amateur. I love what I do.
I am SO bad in selling - giving away is so much easier..

in here, I feel small.

but thank you anyway.

thanks Laz. I'm blushing..

I don't think I'll attend the conference, as I am without means to do it.

However, I'd be glad to host a gethering at some time.
I work at a folk highschool, so we have rooms - a studio - beautiful rough nature and a quite big darkroom...

And we all love whisky! and naked women... in that order of course...

Well any time you want give more away, just think of me. Heck, I'll even send you over a box with prepaid postage so you can clean up that mess of a studio and send it all to me!

Seriously, I'm in awe.

Another fan here and I hate (love) to rub it in but I'm in his group on the alt print exchange. I'm sure I'm getting the better end of that trade!

The guy gets my vote for the best avatars too. Everyone of them seems to have a humorous tilt.

I mean look at the latest.

Ditto all of the above. I am always very impressed with the work you post here Emil. There are only a few members here that I always follow (read posts & view images) and you are on top of that list. Thank so much for sharing your beautiful work with us.

Me too!! But I'm sure he'll want to send 3 or 4 of those prints of his to help clean off the shelves. Very dynamic seeing indeed.

Gee, I seem to have struck a cord here! (not surprized at all) So, I'm offically enrolling members to the GFC. Our first task as a club will be to raise enough $$ to get Gandolfi over here for the APUG conference!

If you like this kind of academic artsy-fartsy stuff, then you'll probably soil your shorts over the work of William Mortensen (Ansel Adams' evil nemesis). www.thescreamonline.com/photo/photo06-01/mortensen/index.html
Hmmm, so I hear you saying that Saint Ansel wasn't artsy-fartsy? I guess anyone with a beard who shoots landscapes is....... well what is that Saint Ansel did if it wasn't art?

So how does that saying go again? Oh ya;

If you're not living on the edge, your occupying too much space.

Gandolfi's work is like that. No chance will we find him wallowing around in the middle, serving up fluffy photographs. Give him the Gold Anti-Stagnation Award!
