Gallery upload question

I really wanted to title this `scanner', just to see what would happen

APUG GALLERY UPLOADS.
Now, all i wish to know regarding upload to gallery is ~ does it matter what file type i use?
What is the best file type to use? does it matter?
I am new to scanning but not to analog.

FYI. print scans from flatbed,

jpeg is best, TIFF etc won't work, max size allowed is 750dpi on one side...K
