Hello,

on the webpage of the scanning service I often use are two full size example scans of Kodak E100G slide taken with Fuji GA645 and scanned @ 4000 spi with both Coolscan 9000 and Imacon X5.

The scans are HERE

The scans do not seem to be sharpened - I would even guess that the X5 scan was converted to JPG from FFF with sharpening setting of "-120" (means NO sharpening with Imacon).

There is also a 12 Mpix digital capture but it probably was not taken with a state of are DSLR (I did not find EXIF information in the file) so it would not be really fair to compare to the scans. But it is there

I actually plan to print one of those scans to see what can be done with a sharp well scanned (for reasonable price) 6x4.5 slide.

EDIT: it may be fair to mention that the Imacon scan was compressed to less than half the file size as the Coolscan scan.
