Hi All,

It's been delayed for quite a while, many factors causing that including the day job getting in the way. I've taken time off now to ensure this gets done (I'm hoping it can be completed in 6-8 weeks). It will be the most important upgrade we've had. Care will be taken to maintain familiarity you have on the current system. The goal is to have the site as you know it, but all the bugs, hassles and previous issues resolved + the addition of many features requested over the years. Also, greater tools to help me and the mods manage the site better. With code updates also comes added security and keeping ahead of that curve.

My super talented freelance coder Clément has been secured for this job and we're already working on the dev site.

Great things to come, stay tuned

Sean

Good progress so far, development server is running our current database successfully on the new software. I also secured a styling developer for custom skinning of the site. The site will look similar but cleaner and more modern.

This is a huge jump, we're going from a 1.5.x to a 2.2.x so most of the time will be re-coding a lot of our custom scripts and configurations. I'm really excited for this and will post milestone updates along the way.

If anyone would like to donate towards the development costs feel free to visit our "Support Us" tab in the menu bar. Any donations can also serve as further extensions to your subscription.

Thanks!

*update

The content switching system is fully coded by Clement, allowing for the tailored views between Analog, Hybrid and Digital. This had to be rebuilt from scratch for the new system. It also includes some bug fixes and tweaks.

The gallery system is being worked on at the moment.

A seperate developer is working on the site theme/skin/templating, this should be ready in a matter of days.

I think we are on track for a release in 6-8 weeks, maybe even less.

More updates as we progress. Thanks to all those who have been chipping in!

The Gallery system is completed. We're now working on the sidebar and Classifieds area next. Some very nice changes coming for the classifieds. I'm getting super excited, this is going to be the best site we've ever had.

Another huge run of development, things are really taking shape. This is a complete re-build so quite tedious but the development site is starting to resemble a near finished site. I might have some screenshots later in the week.

Just a quick update, still going strong with the development with many key components ported over. It's been good to have Clement and myself full time on this upgrade. Starting to feel confident we're just a few weeks away from launch.

Just a quick update, we are much closer now, maybe even a bit ahead of schedule. We had some delays with our coder away on holiday for a bit and I had to get stuck into tax prep. We just knocked out many pages of the 'todo' list these last few days. We might be able to rip the bandaid off in as little as 2-3 weeks and migrate. In the interest of not letting things drag on, we can always launch with 75% of all functionality and hash out the rest as we go. Thanks!

We're still tinkering away. Some slight delays with resourcing, but rolling along again. Just trying to measure twice and cut once, so things go as smooth as possible when the migration occurs. Thanks!

Still in progress. We're close to finalising a migration date. It will likely go in 3 phases:

1) Day1: site outage while core softwares and db are updated
2) Day1: site re-opened with core functionality
3) Several days: adding remaining functionality, bug fixes and tweaks

More soon!
