The new structure is a unified list of ads relying on tags for the ad type. When you have sold an ad, you can edit your ad, and change your tag to "Sold", then save the change:

selecting "Sold"

If you have any issues just let me know. Thanks

IMO the NON-Photo sale items category should NOT have been deleted.

When creating an ad now the creator can set the flag % donated to photrio and inform the viewers all proceeds to photrio. But we're going to be expanding this a lot soon so the % designated will show in the threads list with the other info. Thanks

I've added a misc category "prefix", so an add can be set as misc if it does not fit into photo items. In user preferences you can choose to ignore the prefix as well, if they are ads you don't want to see.

Hello again.
Still not seeing a way to search for 'proceeds to' OR non-photo ads [or exclude such via filter].

If I select the 'Misc.' filter I get no results.
There is no filter for Non-Photo that I see.
Same for showing only 'Proceeds to APUG'

Actually WANT to see only non-photo and/or proceeds to APUG posts from time to time.

AND, what about a filter for Hybrid, Analog, Digital & Workflow Does Not Apply?

A proceeds to option will be in place soon, and to filter prefixes you can check the bottom of your user preferences page and ignore certain ones. But we need more options all around as you describe. Consider the current classifieds v1.0 with more on the way.

Thanks!

'Section' was perhaps the wrong word, I should have said:

I would recommend bringing back the Category for PHOTRIO donation items. AFAIK there used to be such.

ALSO, it would be great to allow anyone to post to the FREE and DONATION categories. Why require a subscription fee to give something away?

At the risk of senseless proliferation, is it worth considering a category for closed/withdrawn items to be used for items that didn't sell, or those about which the seller had second thoughts?

IDK if there ever was, but it's indicated at the top of an ad if a donation is made (or intended):

The way I see it, it doesn't make much sense to make this a category like 'For Sale', 'Want to Buy' etc.
I can imagine some benefit in making the 'donation' tag appear in the list of ads, but I don't know how complex that would be from a technical viewpoint.

Keep in mind that when it comes to imagining new boxes to tick, we also need to balance between usability and completeness. We could append a massive survey along with each ad and/or have enormously long lists of options, but all it would cause is no-response. The present system with tags is already problematic because as it is now, it requires active maintenance by posters to change/remove a tag once an item is sold or withdrawn.

Yes, and in fact to the best of my knowledge we had agreed on this among the team of moderators, but @Sean hasn't gotten round to implementing it yet. He's been really busy last year. The present workaround we now sometimes use is to simply remove the tag altogether in such cases.
