I had a custom application coded that you may find useful. Most are familiar with subscribing to a thread to be notified on updates to that thread. I have now added a "subscribe to user's posts" option. For example let's say you want to know when Simon at Ilford posts anything on APUG, you can now subscribe to his posts and be notified everytime he posts. This will also come in handy for myself and moderators. If we have someone stirring up trouble we can subscribe to their posts and follow what they are posting. You will be notified by email so ensure you are able to receive emails from the apug.org domain. Here is a screen shot:
To subscribe click the persons name:
To unsubscribe click the persons name:
*update- The link to subscribe/unsubscribe now appears on the users main profile page as well.
If you have any problems please let me know. This is the first release, there is another coming soon to add the option to your profile page.
That's a good addition, particularly as the site has grown. There's another large discussion site that I don't really have time to follow, but I check my "favorite posters" list occasionally to see if there's anything new, and chances are, if one of them is posting in a thread, it's likely to be an interesting thread with other interesting posts.
Has this feature been disabled? I stopped receiving posts about 1 month ago and there seems no option to subscribe again in the manner detailed above.

It was basically a poorly coded plugin that caused a lot of server resource issues. One workaround (not as convenient) is to go into a members profile page -> on the left side click "view recent posts". You can then bookmark that link. If one of their posts is something you want to follow you can subscribe to the thread.
