Sounds like the importing went a bit haywire, it was really a poor solution but about all we could find. The groups may need member lists and owners wiped and everyone join up again. Looking into your issue and will re-add you as owner..A few issues:
Apparently my username has changed over in the groups, as I am now "vampireorthodontist". I think that must have happened because I'm the one that started the group and it has that name as the owner (Photography in Japan). In addition to that, vampireorthodontist seems to belong to the same groups that I used to belong to.
Also for the group itself, none of the names in that group are of any of the recognized members of this forum that originally signed up for it. And, not that we had a lot of postings, but they have all disappeared as well.
Does your group look ok now? Also, you will need to re-join previous groups. I'll update the notice stating I may need to re-assign group owners and request owners to contact me.A few issues:

When you click the forums link you should see all of your posts.Hey Sean,
Yes, thank you. However, I tried going through the group to remove people that clearly were never part of the group, and have not been active on APUG for years, but for every person it says that I'm not allowed to remove the owner of the group, which is me, so clearly there is a glitch there too.
I don't know how others feel about the groups, as they didn't seem to be used that often before (hopefully that will change with the update) but maybe it would be best to wipe everyone off the lists and have people rejoin, if they're still interested. My group lost all of its posts, and the other groups look a bit spare as well, so we it looks like we may have to start from scratch anyway. My two cents....
...
They also contain 'real' forums which means you get notifications of your group activity (this was not possible on the old system).
It looks like the groups import script was a disaster in regards to importing group members. It appears it mixed up accounts somehow. I am not sure it happened for everyone as mine were fine. It looks like most are out of whack. The solution at this point is for everyone is to click the "Groups You're Joined" if it is incorrect leave the group then re-add yourself to the right groups. Will see if there is anything else I can do..Thanks for your magnificent effort, Sean.
Not meaning to add to your burden, but ...
The awe-inspiring and generally very successful restructuring of site has had some unexpected side effects. To my surprise, I am now no longer a member of some social groups I joined long ago, a.o. the "Expired Film Group", but on the other hand I seem to have become a member of some other groups, e.g. the "Leaf Shutters Large Format Users Australia" group which to the best of my knowledge I have never joined.
Also, all the pictures uploaded by group members to the Expired Film Group gallery seem to have vanished. Will they ever find their way back the site, do you think?
No worries. The group images did not import but the images still exist in user albums that once existed on the old system. Those albums are now located in the Media Gallery area under "your albums":Thanks, Sean. I appreciate your taking the time to answer my post. You must have a lot of much more important tasks to take care of.
