Hello all.

I'd like to develop one 35mm Rollei Ortho 25 in home made FX-1, but I cannot find any clue about times and temperature over the internet.

Can somebody advise me?

Thanks in advance.

No Rollei ortho but I developed the following films:
Fomapan 100 @ EI 200 ->13 minutes
Tri-X @ EI 400 -> 16 minutes
All mixed in 1+1+8 dilution and @ 20 degree C.
Hope this helped.

Efke 25 in Beutler 1+1+10 7:00 minutes at 20C. Beutler A+B and FX-1 have approx. the same formulae, only FX-1 (Crawley) added a very small amount of Potassium Iodide (KI) to maximize the accutance.

For the Rollei 25 ortho film I used the RLC (Rollei Low Contrast) developer with great succes:
E.I. 25 RLC 1+4 8:30 minutes at 20C.

I use Rodinal 1:50 for 10min @ 20˚C for Rollei Ortho, and the results are fantastic. I would never use anything else, except perhaps the Moersch EC (something or other) biodegradeable fine grained 2 part film developer.

This is a gorgeous film, and one of my staples. Wouldn't dare experiment on it with an home made anything. Especially at the cost per roll.

Until now, I developed Ortho films with D-76H, stock, 6 min @ 20ºC and had great results too. If I want to use FX-1 is because I think I could improve accutance.

Cost per roll varies a lot from provider to provider. You can buy it at Macodirect.com at 2€ per roll or at Foto-R3 at 9.72€ per roll.

Rodinal (even with stand development) should give you all the acutance you would ever need. If you've never tried it. I highly recommend it.

You can buy it at Macodirect.com at 2€ per roll

Short running expiration film and as manufacturer it's not a big deal to price down some stock.

In sequence of acutance: Rodinal --> Beutler --> FX-1.
