Don't see the purpose of this thread... Is it to bash D......? Not to question the validity of the original statement... backed up by reality of just a phantasm?
It would seem to be a joke. If it's bashing anything, it would probably be people who think more is better, regardless of technology.
LOL plus oneThere is nothing inherent in any format that makes you do anything. I use my 35mm camera the same way I use my 4x5.
In the end you're either a good photographer or you're not, regardless of whether you shoot 2000 pictures or 1 picture at a time. What is nice about digital is you can afford to make many exposures of a subject, which increases the odds of having one be exposed optimally. That in no way diminishes the skill of the photographer. It's a tool.
It is all too common, unfortunately, for the analog community to assume using film is a virtue. The fact is, most digital photographers stink, and most analog photographers stink.

No bashing, but real fact.
Why not? Doesn't it depend on the kind of photography? I use my 35mm camera for the same type of photography I do with my large format camera, and I use it the same way. It's just a smaller film size. You're saying I should quickly fire off 36 frames because I can?
Speaking of street photography, Daido Moriyama switched from analog to d... You certainly noticed that his recent works are wayyyy worse than before. Too bad he has such a low self-esteem he decided to increase his crap shots / good shots ratio... At least, you have now a good reason to do better than him!
LOL plus one
When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
I use different formats and camera types differently, the way I use a framing hammer and tack hammer differently.
I want to know who these people are that get six "awesome" shots on one roll of film! That never happens.
The American sniper with the farthest kill on record (50 cal)...in Viet Nam, 2500 yards. Some Canadian gents have done a little better in Afghanistan with 50 cal.Who would use a machine gun to fire one shot at a time?

Kinda spooky knowing someone can kill you with a single shot from over 1.5 miles away.
Y'all are taking this way too seriously and overthinking what is intended as a joke. It's funny not because it's accurate, but because there's a grain of truth to it.
