I generally let the lenses stay under for at least 24 hours. Not sure if this is more for peace of mind, but it seems to have worked for a few lenses from years ago and is what I did for the last batch of lenses.

UV-C is too deep into the non-visible, does not penetrate the glass. UV-A and UV-B lamps penetrate glass enough to clear radiation-damaged Thorium glass lenses.
Yellowed glass= A Pentax Super-Tak too about 3 days.

Btw, how do I know if the fungus is been killed?
The fungus patch does not get any larger.
When using sunlight keep the lens element(s) pointed at the sun. 18 to 24 hours of direct sunlight is enough.
I'm not sure how long under a UV light source https://www.amazon.com/s?k=uv+light&crid=2FX3W77KKLSZ1&sprefix=uv,aps,165&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_4_2 but longer will not hurt.
