OK, so I have a durst 184 and I'm trying to experiment with making prints that include the rebate. If I look at the output, the hexagon, there is enough coverage to do so. However, if I stop my Nikkor 300mm down to f11, those corners get a tiny bit dark.

I'm thinking I could cut the inside corners a bit to add a little bit of light, but maybe that's not needed.

Any insight on if my adventure is foolish would be appreciated

What light source are you using? With the L1840 and CLS head, it is very tight. To make this print I could not include the edge of the film on the 10" side. I had to set the print mask inside where the film edge would have been projected, very close to the image area. It was very tedious. Subsequent prints of this negative won't show the rebate.

That is odd. Usually from 5.6 to 11, the corners get relatively BRIGHTER as the center hotspot dissapates when the aperture is close.
The following is from a 150mm/f5.6 but a 300mm/f5.6 would be nearly the same. If you make small prints at f11 the curve would be the topmost dotted line. Can't get much better than that.

Ok. My issue printing rebate with L1840 is the negative carrier and light box are just 10". In your case (dark corners) this is a condenser and light bulb issue. Are you using the correct bulb and correct condenser combination?

I have a case of the 110/120 v 500w Opale E27 P3/17 bulbs, and the Lacon 380 (laborator184-G) and the Lacon 380 (laborator 184)

Make sure the convex portion of the two condensers are together. Someone just posted on another forum that the letters were upside down one of his 380 condensers when they were in the correct orientation.
Otherwise it seems like you have the correct condensers and the correct hard to find lamp. Have you tried moving the lamp closer or farther?

I was just doing that, the corners are slightly um...brown? (Darker)

I have the manual, and am currently reading your thread. There are a few things I don't understand.

1. The H and V positions.
2. The "focusing pin" on the NEGA 205

I think the mirror changes the distance from the lamp to the first condenser. Try it both ways and see.
