Fujinar barrel lenses

I got the Fujinar 180, 210 and 250 f/4.5 barrel lenses a few days ago at auction. Each has a 65mm lens mount adapter attached. Can anybody advise the easiest way I can mount the lenses to a board? I plan to use them on a half plate and a full plate camera.

These lenses usually came with flanges, which could be screwed on to a board. They can also be mounted on Shanel 5A and 5B-S shutters with appropriate adapters.
What exactly do you mean by "lens mount adapter"? Can you show photos?

Thanks for your reply and sorry for not being clear. All three lenses have a an adapter which screws onto the regular screw mount. So the 180 and 210 have step up adapters from 55mm and 62mm respectively while the 250 has a step down from 72mm. The lenses don't have boards, so no flanges, and I haven't seen any as big as 65mm on auctions in Japan. I'm not familiar with Shanel shutters. Can you explain how do they attach to a lens board? Can they accommodate a 65mm thread?
I envy you where you live. Shodoshima is high on my list of places to visit in the near future. A colleague's daughter works in the art museum.

I don't know what those 'adapters' are but if they unscrew, see if they could be used as a retaining ring. That is how I mounted this Fujinar 250. The black metal ring at the base of the lens is just a washer to make the hole in the Vapla lensboard smaller. The lens is affixed with a retaining ring on the back.

That's a great suggestion. I'll make a few boards out of mat board and try to fit them.

Shanel shutters have a ~65mm front thread, and I suspect these adapters are the correct ones needed for these lenses to be used with the shutters. In practice, you only need one shutter, and the lenses can be interchanged as necessary. The 5A shutters have only the speed mechanism, and the aperture in the lens is used. The 5B and 5B-S shutters have aperture mechanisms as well.

If you don't want or need to use a shutter, you'll need flanges like the one shown above.

Thanks for your update. I also found some information online in English and Japanese that mentions the front thread is 65mm. It appears that the three lenses I bought were the standards for photographers working the tourist spots around Japan in the 1950s & 60s. I only paid 6,000 yen for the three, so I think that I can can afford to buy a shutter. There are several 5A shutters (plus Fujinar lenses) on Yahoo auction , but no 5Bs. I can't see any advantage in having the extra aperture and it probably makes the 5B shutter heavier.

Just to update the thread. I managed to purchase a Shanel-5A shutter in good condition from a Japanese auction website and was pleased to find that Kumar was correct about the front thread size. All three lenses I bought fit perfectly. The only thing I'm missing now is a retaining ring to secure the shutter to a lens board. The flange is around 63mm. I'd appreciate any advice about where I might get a ring that fits.

Pardon the thread resurrection... I have just purchased the same three 180mm, 210mm and 250mm Fujinar lenses in barrels and Shanel 5A, 5B and 5B-S shutters (one of each). The 210mm and 180mm barrels fit onto the 5A shutter front with step-up rings (with some effort I found the correct rings) however the 250 barrel is bigger than the shutter opening: an earlier post suggested the shutter is 65mm and the 250mm lens barrel flange is 72mm. Did you use a 72-65 step down ring to fit the 250 barrel to the 5A? Did it cause vignetting?

Vaughan, thanks for trying to reopen the thread. I have had a Fujinar 25cm barrel lens for some time and finally just got a Shanel 5A shutter. I am exactly where you were one year ago. I'm going to need a step-down adapter from the lens rear thread (approx 72mm) to the shutter front thread (65mm ?). Were you able to locate one that works, or have one made? I briefly thought about 3D printing one, but the fine threads, short length, and the weight of the lens (times its moment arm) would make that a risky route, I would think. I'll also need a flange to hold the shutter on the board, as needed by the OP in 2018.

Unfortunately no, I couldn't find the ring. Instead I picked up a Shanel 5B shutter which the 250mm lens blocks fit and has the correct f-numbers narked on the aperture scale. (The 5B-S shutter has f-numbers for the 250mm and 210mm lenses.)
