Today I processed a series of films taken using the Fuji Film Quicksnap 800 underwater Disposable camera for a client.
I have to say considering this 27exposure disposable camera can be purchased $8.00 I think used correctly
it can yield lovely results. The camera lens is of reasonable clarity, the shutter speed is fast enough to minimize motion
blur and the film loaded in it has a great colour balance and contrast. I was very surprised by the quality of this throw
away camera and thought I would share a sample of some of the shots it I produced from it in the lab today.

And for the price, they do well above the water, too.

Those look great!
I had looked at underwater disposables closely for typical beach summer snaps. It appeals my inner LoFi toy camera persona and the kid inside. It evokes warm childhood memories of the beach, film snaps et al.

I don't recall using disposables in the family as a child however.

I did shoot a bit with my cellphone on the beach and the snaps were great, however, no way it is getting any closer to the sand and water. If it were one of these waterproof models that have appeared this last year I'd had paid a second thought.

Anyways it's a great option for that occasional sea shooting. Bettered perhaps by some thrift underwater P&S.

Very nice.

For me, I'd not let the "underwater" and "disposable" part deter me from attempting to reload it
