Good news and its even better if it is true that 800 pushed, as some users claim, is better than Fuji1600 which is in my experience quite grainy even at 8x10 in 35mm.

Now WE PHOTOGRAPHERS have a responsibility to buy 800Z.

The problem is that 800Z is right in that usage area where d*g*t*l excels. I think we've only gotten a reprieve.

But as an encouragement, Neopan SS has been "discontinued" for many years, but it is still available.

Steve.

Yet again another turnaround from Fuji - remember the one where they announced discontinuance of the Single 8 movie film, then did a u-turn. Then of course there was velvia - wonderful marketing and free adverising! Either they never intended to discontinue it in the first place or they just wanted to test the enthusiasm for their products.

Incidentally I don't have a problem with this approach - it's great free publicity and creates a great image for them caring about the customers - clever. Maybe Kodak should try it too.

*happy*. I only just shot my first roll of this film, and I think it is great. Quite amazing to get such good colours in low light.

I'll be sure to buy some more of it in my next film order.

Thank you very much! Now color photographers won't be forced to use digital for low-light work. As one who uses Fuji high-speed film for low-light work, I am thankful.
